Guidance on Ethical Use of AI
Dear Authors,
Editorial Team of Journal of Educational Research and Practice (JERP) would like to inform all authors about the importance of adhering to ethical standards in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scholarly publishing.
In response to the increasing use of AI tools in research and manuscript preparation, authors are required to follow responsible and transparent practices to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and credibility of their work. AI tools may be used in a limited capacity, such as supporting data analysis and improving language clarity. However, the use of AI to generate full manuscripts, create visual materials (including images, figures, or videos), or be listed as an author is strictly prohibited.
Authors must remain fully accountable for all submitted content. Any use of AI must be carefully reviewed and explicitly disclosed within the manuscript. AI tools cannot replace human judgment, critical thinking, or professional editing.
Furthermore, authors are strongly advised not to rely on AI for generating citations or references, as such tools may produce inaccurate or fabricated sources. All references must be verifiable and properly validated prior to submission.
This announcement refers to and should be read in conjunction with JERP’s official Generative AI Policy. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the highest standards of research ethics and scholarly integrity.
Sincerely,
Editorial Team
Journal of Educational Research and Practice (JERP)
