Author Guidelines

Thank you for considering the Journal of Educational Research and Practice (JERP) as a potential venue for your scholarly work. These author guidelines are designed to assist you in preparing and submitting your manuscript for publication in JERP. Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript.

Registration

To submit an article to JERP, you must first register as an Author. Be sure to check the "Author" box during registration; otherwise, you will only be registered as a Reader and cannot access the "New Submission" option upon logging in.

ORCID iD

JERP's submission systems and publication workflows are specifically designed to support ORCiD iD. This unique identifier links your identity to your research outputs, including articles and datasets. It helps distinguish researchers with similar or identical names, ensuring you receive proper recognition for your work. If you do not have an ORCiD iD, please visit ORCiD.org/register to obtain yours.

Originality and Length

JERP articles are typically 5,000 to 8,000 words long, including the abstract, figures, tables, and references. However, exceptions may occasionally be made for manuscripts outside this range. Submissions must be original, unpublished works and should not be under review by another journal or included in conference proceedings. Authors must comply with relevant institutional research protocols, such as obtaining ethics committee approvals.

Manuscript Formatting Prior to Submission

Authors are encouraged to use the JERP Word Template, which provides the correct layout, fonts, and formatting for submissions.

Manuscripts must be written in English, following the spelling and punctuation conventions of the Oxford English Dictionary. Citations and references should follow the latest Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (Full Note). Authors are required to use Mendeley as the citation manager. Examples and resources are available on the JERP website.
